Which is stronger? The oak tree or the reed? Hmm...for me, i would say the oak tree. Would u say the same thing as me? Everybody can see the oak tree is big and strong. It protects us from the rain and the heat of the sun. A mighty oak tat houses lotsa animals, a habitat on its own.

But wat can a reed do? U may ask. It doesn't protect or shelter us from the heat or the rain. All it is good for is to be tramp upon. To me, I think the reed is equally as strong as the oak, but in a different way.

Why? Here is an example. When the 'strong wind' blows, and that for us as humans is life's difficult situations. The oak tree is strong, yes, but sooner or later, it gets uprooted and it is unable to defend itself as it has protected us. Because it cannot bend. It dies in difficult situations, and do not noe how to overcome it. While the reed is different.

It may be small and good for tramping on, but then, It is small and is able to bend when the' strong wind' blows. It is able to overcome the 'strong wind'. Even though it is difficult and things may not be easy, it did not give up hope. It continued to hang on no matter wat. It is able to bend and make the 'strong wind' for its advantage. Though the wind is still blowing, it isn't that strong anymore.

I...I want to be both. I think it is important to be strong in the inside as well as in the inside. I want to be the reed as it did not gave up and keep on clinging to the 'soil' no matter wat and i want to be the oak tree to protect people as well. Cos people hearts are fragile things. They get hurt easily.
